- Pre-Registration Required. An accurate count is needed to ensure we have plenty of food and drinks on hand but, more importantly, a sufficient number of age-appropriate prizes for all the kids. Pre-registration opens May 15th

- Check in begins at 9:30 AM in the Pavilion
- Derby starts at 10:00 AM
- Derby fishing ends at 11:00 AM
- Awards at 11:15 AM in the Pavilion
- Lunch will be provided at no cost!

RULES / REGULATIONS
- The LDHA Fishing Derby is a free event and closed to the general public. You must be a member, family member, or guest of a member.
- Kids must check-in to be registered for the event. They will receive a checklist sheet to count their catch. Honor system only for count of fish.
- All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
- Fish must be alive when returned to the water.
- You may use any kind of live or artificial bait. Bait will not be supplied, you must bring your own.
- You may begin fishing when dismissed at 10:00 AM and stop fishing at 11:00 AM
- Only one rod may be used to fish with at a time. A parent may bait the hook, and unhook the fish, but the child must reel the fish in.
- The fishing area will be restricted to the LDHA Channel. No fishing off the beach/park area. No fishing on or near the boat launch dock.
- At 11:00 AM, please return to the Pavilion and turn in your checklist no later than 11:15 AM.
- Awards will be given for the Most-Fish-Caught in each age category and a runner up. Tie breaker will be a random draw of tied parties. All youth anglers will be entered in a random drawing for prizes as well.
- All participants are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood and private properties, and clean up any trash they produce while participating in the derby.
